Theunissen Jankowitz is a multidisciplinary design firm delivering architecture, interior design, urban design and project management services across Africa for more than 45 years.

The practice is dedicated to a considered design approach that treats each individual project as an opportunity to translate complex ideas and informants into unique resolutions appropriate to its time and context. The intention is to create enduring structures and spaces designed around the human experience. We wholly understand the commercial objectives and the risks that must be balanced to bring projects successfully to fruition with a resultant built form that meets the highest standards of excellence.

Theunissen Jankowitz Architects have been involved in projects throughout South Africa and abroad. Our team is highly proficient and experienced to ensure projects at various locations are completed in time and within budget.

The practice has extensive experience in working outside of the borders of South Africa where we have successfully completed projects in Zambia, Kenya, Gabon, Ghana, Mozambique, eSwatini (Swaziland) and Namibia. We are involved with projects in the following countries outside of South Africa: Senegal, Tanzania, and Mauritius. We are versed in the restrictions and intricacies of being involved with projects that require months of pre-construction planning and completing projects in countries where procedures are in contrast to those in South Africa.
